Orbus Exhibit & Display Group™, one of North America’s leading trade suppliers of display, exhibit, and event solutions is pleased to announce that the company donated hundreds of dollars to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, fighting childhood cancer.
The company raised $800 through the internal sale of “Shamrock Grams” and donations during the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day 2015, and an additional corporate donation brought the total to $1,000. All funds were donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation General Fund.
During the year, Orbus endeavors to support national charities, as well as those local to its two manufacturing and production facilities in Woodridge, IL and Las Vegas, NV. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which provides funding to hospitals, researchers, the training of new researchers and supportive care research to combat childhood cancer. While St. Baldrick’s accepts donations throughout the year, the foundation typically sees an uptick around St. Patrick’s Day as groups, organizations and communities around the country link fundraising with the holiday.
During the week of March 9th, Orbus employees were given the chance to purchase Shamrock Grams to send to fellow employees, or give a standard donation to St. Baldrick’s. Shamrock Grams, a way to send a smile or “Thank You” with a sweet treat to a coworker, were distributed throughout the company on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day.
“Giving back is an important part of our goal to positively impact the charities that the Orbus team is passionate about,” said Giles Douglas, President & CEO of Orbus.
