Piedmont Plastics® is excited to announce that its Piedmont Sign Grade® AluPOLY® ACM sign product (PSG AluPOLY) has met UL compliances as a component for sign accessories in accordance to UL879 (Canada: CAN/CSA‐C22.2 No 207‐M89 Electronic Sign & Displays). UL compliance is important for the sign industry as businesses are required to have all components certified in many applications and installations.
PSG AluPOLY is a versatile aluminum composite material that can be used in a variety of applications and markets. AluPOLY has excellent ultraviolet (UV) ray protection and extreme weatherability characteristics, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Its anti‐corrosive properties make the material impervious to water and most chemicals. AluPOLY’s polyester painted surface accepts most types of inks and paints, which can be digitally printed, screen printed, or media applied directly to the substrate. It is easily cut, fabricated, mounted, and installed using everyday tools – which increases efficiency, reduces labor costs, and saves time and money.
Standard color variations include black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, brushed silver/silver and brushed silver/gold. AluPOLY is available in the sheet sizes of 48 inches-by-96 inches, 48 inches-by-120 inches and 60 inches-by-120 inches. It is available in panel thicknesses of 2mm (.080), 3mm (.118) and 6mm (.240) and varying aluminum skin thicknesses to cover a wide variety of applications.
Applications include interior signage, exterior signage, real estate signage, directional/informational signage, exhibition stands/displays, temporary traffic signage, ceiling/wall panels, monument signage, POS/POP, interior design, furniture, construction, 2D/3D signage, photo mounting and fascia.
