Piedmont Plastics, Inc., has announced its acquisition of Plastics Center, Inc. in Exton, Pennsylvania. The purchase of Plastics Center, Inc., was effective January 31, 2014. The addition represents the company’s thirty-ninth distribution location in North America, serving a multitude of markets with plastic sheet, rod, tube, film, and associated products.
Plastic Center, Inc., has been serving customers since 1945. The Exton location will allow Piedmont Plastics to serve customers in the greater Philadelphia market with the same business philosophy that has driven its growth for many years—local stock, local decision-making, and excellent customer service.
“We have been working to gain a position in the Philadelphia market,” says Chip Whitfield, president of Piedmont Plastics, and “we plan to stock a wide offering of plastic products to serve the diverse needs of our customers.”
The Exton location will also have access to the extensive inventories throughout the Piedmont system.
