Agfa Graphics will be demonstrating their high-volume production system, Jeti Tauro, and versatile Jeti Mira UV inkjet engines at SGIA 2016. The company will be in two booths (1551 and 1561) to properly showcase the expanding line of wide-format inkjet devices, workflow softwareand applications created using these tools in the portfolio.
For print service providers looking for a flexible solution that can grow with their business, the Jeti Mira offers a moving gantry and ‘Print & Prepare’ technology for quick media loading while the printer is in operation. The 106-inch wide, six-color + white Jeti Mira system on display at SGIA will be equipped with optional varnish and will demonstrate Agfa Graphics’ 3D Lens Technology which produces a three dimensional varnish effect without the need for lenticular substrates. The 3D Lens Technology, based on printing of transparent lenses with the Jeti Mira’s varnish option, enhances and adds value to print by transforming images into captivating optical illusions.
Equipped with a unique, dockable roll-to-roll (RTR) option, the Jeti Mira’s 7pl droplet size produces stunning detail and razor-sharp text as small as 4-point type. Its six vacuum zones, featuring four sets of registration pins, enable fast and accurate double-sided printing.
At SGIA, multiple new automation options that increase the productivity of the Jeti Tauro will also be shown. The Jeti Tauro features continuous and automated feeding of rigid media as well as an integrated roll-to-roll system for flexible media. The 98-inch (2.5 m) Jeti Tauro has six colors plus white and/or primer option and is designed for printing 24/7 on both rigid and flexible material with speeds up to 2960 ft²/hour. It’s multi-layer printing offers pre-white, post-white and a sandwich white (color/white/color) at the touch of a button with Asanti workflow software.
The Jeti Tauro comes standard with manual media loading tables for smaller runs. For longer runs or runs with multiple stacks of boards, the automatic feeding and unloading system further enhances productivity.
Designed for the quality and productivity demands of high-end sign and display printers, the Jeti Tauro’s board feeder and stacking system reduce idle time and increase efficiency with productivity gains.
