From wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters to engravers, cutters, custom apparel solutions and personalization devices, Roland technologies are set to take center stage at the 2011 SGIA Expo, October 19-21, 2011, in New Orleans. Located in Booth #1945, the Roland exhibit will feature the company’s most extensive product line-up ever, including new printers designed for the industry’s fastest growing market segments.
“SGIA is an important event for the industry and we are proud to be there again this year with a really diverse lineup of products and applications,” said Rick Scrimger, vice president and general manager for Roland DGA Corp. “In today’s economy, it is more important than ever for companies to look for new applications and technology that will open new doors and markets. Roland products give graphics industry professionals just that. Our products are the basic tools they need to grow their core customer base, as well as expand into new markets, even in the most demanding of economic environments.”
Throughout the show, booth visitors will enjoy educational opportunities, including live demonstrations of vehicle wrapping techniques, workshops focused on VersaWorks™ RIP software, and presentations teaching the basics of T-shirt production on a VersaStudio BN-20 and personalization workflows for Roland’s VersaUV LEF-12. At noon daily, artist Jamie Hayes will be signing and giving out his own canvas artwork, printed on a Roland inkjet with metallic ink.
Highlighting the Roland booth are several exciting new print technologies, including the VersaUV LEJ-640, VersaUV LEF-12 and VersaStudio BN-20, all of which will be making their first appearance before SGIA Expo crowds. At sixty-four inches, the VersaUV LEJ-640 is quickly becoming known as one of the industry’s most versatile UV-LED hybrid flatbed printers. Featuring CMYK, white and clear inks, the LEJ-640 delivers superior image quality on substrates up to a half-inch thick, and finishes graphics with premium varnishing and embossing effects.
Other booth highlights include the VersaUV LEF-12 benchtop flatbed UV-LED printer. Printing CMYK, white and clear inks directly on three-dimensional objects, the LEF-12 makes it possible to produce highly customized awards, accessories, promotional items and consumer products. And finally, one of the most talked about printers in the Roland line-up is the twenty-inch VersaStudio BN-20 metallic inkjet printer/cutter. Ideal for producing professional quality labels, decals, signs, POP and apparel heat transfers right from the desktop, the BN-20 is one of the most affordable and versatile metallic printers available.
Other featured Roland products include the DPI award-winning VersaUV LEC and VersaCAMM VS wide-format inkjet printer/cutters, complete with VersaWorks RIP software, integrated contour cutting and specialty inks. VersaArt sublimation printers, GX cutters, EGX engravers, the MPX-90 impact printer, VersaCUT print trimmers and R-Wear custom apparel solutions will be demonstrated as well.
Visitors to the booth can also view the latest entries into the company’s worldwide 30th anniversary Creative Awards competition.
