More than thirty members of the Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California (PIASC) attended Roland DGA Corporation’s lunch, networking event and seminar held on June 14—a gathering that gave local commercial printing professionals an opportunity to learn more about the company and how wide-format inkjet printers can increase the success of their respective businesses.
The event, held at Roland DGA Corporation’s Irvine, California headquarters, featured an informative presentation by Andrew Oransky, director of marketing & product management, outlining the many capabilities of the company’s advanced wide-format printers and printer-cutters. Oransky also provided insight on the various profit centers these state-of-the-art machines can create for commercial print businesses.
The seminar featured guest speakers as well—including Rick Blomquist, (pictured) general manager of Main Graphics, a full-service print communications firm in Irvine. Blomquist supplied PIASC members with real life examples of how wide-format inkjets have contributed to his company’s revenue.
Following the seminar, attendees were able to see some of Roland’s wide-format inkjet printer/cutters in action, including selected models from the company’s popular VersaCAMM VS and VersaUV product series. They were also given a guided tour of Roland DGA’s unique lobby gallery, where a wide variety of user projects on display colorfully illustrate a world of virtually unlimited creative possibilities.
Rusty Sena, PIASC member and owner of Venice, California-based Echelon Creative LLC, was extremely impressed with the event and Roland’s product offerings. “It was a truly eye-opening experience,” said Sena. “I had heard about Roland quality, but I had no idea the company had such a broad range of products with such amazing functionality.
“I’m considering adding a printing service component to my current pre-press business and Roland offers exactly what I’m looking for at a price I can afford.”
