Roland DGA will be showcasing its latest VersaUV® wide format digital printers—innovative devices that are transforming the package prototyping process—at the upcoming South Pack 2014 Expo, April 15-16, in Charlotte, North Carolina. A newly established partnership with Ryback and Ryback Incorporated will also allow for live, in-booth demonstrations showing how the R & R Sleeve Maker and S3 Steam Machine work hand-in-hand with Roland’s printers to create high quality shrink wrap and sleeve label prototypes.
Visitors to the Roland’s South Pack booth, 2019, will discover how Roland VersaUV printers are revolutionizing pre-press workflow, by making it easier, faster and more cost-effective than ever to create realistic prototypes in-house, using actual press substrates. Expo attendees can also get a firsthand look at the company’s next-generation VersaCAMM® eco-solvent printer/cutters, the new VSi Series. In addition to taking full advantage of Roland’s Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks in CMYK, Light Black, Metallic and White, VersaCAMM VSi Series inkjets incorporate new features and enhancements for even greater overall performance.
“Our VersaUV printers allow packaging design firms, printers and converters to create prototypes that look just like the finished product, complete with unique varnishing and embossing effects, affordably and in record time,” said Roland Group Product Manager, Hiroshi Ono. “These printers cover a full array of package prototypes, from more traditional label and folding carton short runs to flexo and shrink. Companies using our advanced UV-LED technology are able to wow their existing clients, attract new customers and significantly increase profits.”
The inclusion of shrink wrap demonstrations in Roland’s South Pack 2014 booth creates an opportunity for Expo attendees to see how R & R shrink wrap technology can be quickly and efficiently integrated into the pre-press workflow to turn Roland-produced prints into customer-pleasing shrink wrap prototypes.
