Hawks fans will enjoy their home court advantage even more this coming season with the installation of a new LED centerhung video display system designed and manufactured by Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota. Saint Joseph’s University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will see these updates in action this fall.
“We are grateful to Mike for supporting this project as it will provide our fans with a state-of-the-art game-day experience,” said SJU Director of Athletics Don DiJulia. “This board, with its live video, stats and sponsor information, will greatly enhance Hagan Arena, which was recently named one of the top three venues in the Atlantic 10.”
Saint Joseph’s University will receive a centerhung display system that features four individual video displays. Each display will measure approximately 7 feet high-by-12.5 feet wide and will feature 6 millimeter line spacing. These displays will light up the arena with their ability to highlight live video and instant replays. They can show one large image or can be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.
Supporters of the Hawks won’t miss a minute of game action as the video displays will incorporate excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility.
“Daktronics is thrilled to have worked with Saint Joseph’s University to update the video equipment in Michael J. Hagan ’85 Arena,” said Scott Willson, Daktronics sales representative. “The new centerhung will bring excitement to fans and really add to the overall game-day feel at the arena.”
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
