Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota will partner with Utah State University in providing equipment for its brand new athletic facility, the Wayne Estes Center. The 32,000-square foot, $9.7 million state-of-the-art athletic facility seats approximately 1,400 fans and will be used for the Utah State University Aggies to host home volleyball matches and basketball practices. The facility will receive an LED video display and new scorer’s tables ready for next year’s athletic activities in Logan, Utah.
“Utah State is thrilled to have Daktronics be part of the Wayne Estes Center and in partnership with Utah State Athletics,” said Jana Doggett, Executive Associate Athletic Director – External Operations, Utah State University. “We look forward to a fantastic partnership with Daktronics.”
The Utah State University Aggies’ video display will measure approximately 11 feet high-by-22 feet wide and will feature 15 millimeter line spacing. This display allows the audience to view one large image to showcase live video and instant replays, so fans can stay engaged in every moment of the game. Another feature of the display is the ability to be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information, and sponsor advertisements.
The Wayne Estes Center will also receive four scorer’s tables. The tables feature 10 millimeter line spacing and measure approximately 4 feet high-by-38 feet wide. The scorer’s tables can be connected in any configuration to highlight sponsors throughout events and show additional statistics and game information.
All of the Daktronics equipment installed will include excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility keeping everyone in the Wayne Estes Center in-the-know on game activities.
“Utah State University’s new Wayne Estes Center will be one of the premier volleyball facilities in the nation, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to include our Daktronics video display system and electronic scorer’s tables within this facility,” said Greg Schmidt, Daktronics sales representative.
