In Houston, Texas, two popular performance venues, Wortham Center and Jones Hall, have once again partnered with Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota to upgrade their outdoor marquee video displays.
“The new marquees benefit everyone—the ticket-buying public, the performing arts companies and our Houston First facilities,” said Mario Ariza, chief operating officer for Houston First Theaters, which manages Wortham Center and Jones Hall. “We’re thrilled with this electronic upgrade.”
The display outside Jones Hall measures approximately 3.5 feet high-by-43 feet wide. The two marquee displays outside Wortham Center measure approximately 5 feet high-by-26 feet wide. All displays feature 10 millimeter line spacing.
These marquees will keep the public informed and aware of events and performances hosted by the venues. The displays feature advanced zoning capabilities to show content across an entire display, or they can be divided into separate windows to show a variety of messages and upcoming event information.
The new displays provide excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to appeal to patrons as they pass by the venue entrances. They also incorporate industry-leading environmental protection to offer a long lifetime with consistent performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
“Daktronics is excited to continue our partnership with Wortham Center and Jones Hall,” said Matt Braegelmann, Daktronics sales representative. “These improvements to the current displays will allow each venue much more flexibility when informing their audience of upcoming events and shows.”
