This contest is open to only sign makers, sign professionals, and sign shops operating in the United States. Only projects installed in the United States between May 1, 2010 and August 10, 2011 are eligible to be entered into this contest.
You are not eligible if you or any member of your immediate family or household (whether or not related) is an employee, officer or director of Sign Builder Illustrated or Simmons-Boardman Publishing Corporation or related to an employee, officer, or director of Sign Builder Illustrated or Simmons-Boardman Publishing Corporation.
The number of entries posted for online voting will be determined by the number of entries received. Not all entries will be guaranteed inclusion in online voting. This final number of entries posted online for voting will be selected by the editorial staff of Sign Builder Illustrated magazine.
All signs that have already won awards featured in contests run by other publications are not eligible.
By entering this contest, you waive the right to special permission to have imagery of this sign(s) featured in our magazine.
By participating, you accept and agree to abide by the Official Rules and all decisions of Sign Builder Illustrated, which are final and legally binding in all respects. If selected as the winner, you also agree to be interviewed about the winning project by Sign Builder Illustrated editorial staff before October 10, 2011.
The winner will be notified via phone call and/or email by September 15. Only the winning entry will be contacted by Sign Builder Illustrated verifying said entrant as the winner.
Acceptance of First-Place and Honorable Mention prizes constitutes permission for Sign Builder Illustrated and Simmons-Boardman Publishing to use the winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion in any medium, without further compensation, except as prohibited by law.
Sign Builder Illustrated and Simmons-Boardman Publishing Corporation is not responsible for
- lost, late, damaged, incomplete, illegible, stolen, misdirected, or postage due mail or email;
- any Web site failures, congestion, accessibility or availability issues;
- unauthorized access, tampering, hacking, theft, or destruction; or
- other technical or human error in the receipt or processing of entries.
Sign Builder Illustrated may, in its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest or modify the Contest or Official Rules if the contest is not capable of running as Sign Builder Illustrated planned for any reason (including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, computer virus, fraud, technical or human error, or any other causes which Sign Builder Illustrated, in its sole opinion, deems could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or intended conduct of this contest or amendment and/or adoption of new or existing laws and/or regulations regarding the administration, operation or any other aspect of the Promotion in any jurisdiction).

Non-compliance with any of these Official Rules may result in disqualification.
